Recell offers a complete line of refurbished battery pack options for your Porsche - from our most popular battery pack option, the SR+ to the longer-range LR+.
Recell is a licensed member of the Porsche Partner Network, and our refurbished battery packs use only genuine Porsche parts and factory original LG battery modules.
Each of our refurbished battery packs go through a rigorous inspection, certification and testing process. Out-of-date or failure-prone components that don’t meet manufacturer spec are replaced with performance-class components. Precision cell matching using the latest Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) diagnostic technologies ensure exceptional performance and reliability.
A refurbished battery pack from Recell saves thousands of dollars, with savings up to 60% compared to a replacement battery pack from Porsche with payback in as little as 18 months.
We also offer an optional extended warranty program on all our battery packs, good for 2 years or 24,000 miles. In the event of a battery pack failure, a full battery pack or hardware replacement will be provided by the nearest Recell service center.
Please note that prices above do not include shipping. If shipping is needed, discounted transportation will be included as part of your final invoice. * Energy Capacity may vary +/- 3% and be impacted by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, an initial calibration period after installation, battery pack temperature, driving behavior, etc. Actual range will vary based on a number of factors, including driving behavior, battery pack temperature, tire pressure, etc.
Why Do You Do This?
Our goal is simple: to get your Porsche back on the road for thousands less. We're a licensed member of the Porsche Partner Network and have built our business around supporting out-of-warranty Porsches, logging thousands of hours working on Porsche battery packs - we know them inside out.
Do You Offer Pack Upgrades?
We wish the answer were different, but unless you're battery pack has malfunctioned or no longer working, the short answer is no.
While a pack upgrade sounds compelling, it isn't very cost effective, especially if your current battery pack is still working. Longer range packs with greater capacity need to be sourced individually, and that usually means from a salvage car that may have been in an accident or written off by an insurance company. And even from a salvage yard, long range packs are still very expensive - for what still amounts to a used battery pack...
When all is said and done, it's usually far more cost effective to continue using your existing battery pack until it reaches the end of its useful life and then have it either refurbished by Recell or get a new replacement battery pack direct from Porsche.
How Do You Repair A Battery Pack? Do You Use Salvage Cars for Battery Packs Replacements?
No. We don't just 'repair' battery packs like a repair shop might. Each of our refurbished battery packs is fully certified and goes through rigorous testing and quality control. And we never swap in a battery pack from a salvage cars that may have been in an accident or written off by an insurance company.
Do I Get A Credit For My Existing Battery?
Yes! The credit for your battery pack is already included in the price of our refurbished battery packs. And better yet, our refurbished battery packs are the same price no matter how old or how many miles your battery pack has on it.
If You Replace the Parts In My Battery Pack, What Are You Replacing Them With?
We are a licensed member of the Porsche Partner Network, and our refurbished battery packs are fully tested and certified, using only genuine Porsche parts and factory original LG battery modules.

How Long Does It Take to Have a Battery Refurbished?
Servicing times can vary, but once your vehicle is at a Recell service center, turnaround time generally ranges from a few days to a week, depending on the exact issue and current workload at our service center. If it’s a straightforward rebuild, you can be back on the road in no time, often the next day!
Can I Just Buy a Battery Pack From You and Have Another Shop Install It?
Practically speaking, it’s just easier (and safer!) to ship your Porsche instead of just the battery – high voltage battery packs are heavy, cumbersome and can be easily damaged or become unsafe if not handled properly. More importantly, all service, including installation, performed on a Recell battery pack MUST be performed at a Recall service center.

Will the Entire Vehicle Be Needed for Warranty Service? Can’t I Just Ship You the Battery Pack?
Practically speaking, it’s just easier (and safer!) to ship your Porsche instead of just the battery – high voltage battery packs are heavy, cumbersome and can be easily damaged or become unsafe if not handled properly. More importantly, we require the entire vehicle present at a Recell service center in order to certify the battery. Unfortunately, there are NO exceptions. Removal of the battery pack at any other location other than a Recell service center, including a Tesla Service Center, voids the battery pack warranty.
I Live in Canada, Can I Still Get My Battery Pack Refurbished by Recell?
Yes! We offer refurbished battery packs for both Canada and Mexico as well.
With a Refurbished Battery Pack, Do I Need to Sign Any Waivers?
No. Not. Ever. We never require a waiver and anyone asking you to sign one should make you pause. Our approach is very clear, we focus on reliability, safety and serviceability, using 100% OEM software. No roots, no hacks, not ever.
What Information Do You Collect, and Do You Require a Remote Monitoring Device to Be Installed?
We only collect information about the battery pack when it’s at one of our service centers, and even then, we only collect the information that we need on file to support our certification – like how many miles are on the battery pack, how many times it’s been charged and how much, the date it was put back into service, etc., etc. There are NO remote monitoring devices, NO communication whatsoever with your battery or your vehicle once it leaves one of our service centers. We have no way of collecting any additional information on the battery pack, you, or your car. That’s intentional. Your personal information is yours and yours alone, we have no interest in anyone’s personal information.
Do You Sell My Email or Personal Information to Other Companies?
Nope. Not. Ever.
