We offer a complete line of remanufactured battery packs for your Model 3/Y - from our most popular battery pack, the RC 210+, to the longer-range RC 240+
Our remanufactured battery packs use only genuine Tesla parts and are based on original Model 3/Y battery modules developed by Tesla.
Each of our remanufactured battery packs go through a rigorous inspection, certification and testing process. Failure-prone components such as the main fuse and high voltage contactors are replaced with Ludicrous-class components, and control boards that don’t meet manufacturer spec are replaced as needed.
A remanufactured battery pack from re/cell saves thousands of dollars, with savings up to 60% compared to a replacement battery pack from Tesla, and payback in as little as 18 months.
We also offer an optional extended warranty program on all our battery packs, good for 2 years or 24,000 miles. In the event of a battery pack failure, a full battery pack or hardware replacement will be provided by the nearest re/cell service center.
* Please note that prices above do not include return shipping. If return shipping is needed, transportation cost will be included as part of the final invoice. ** Battery packs listed here are rated for 200/240 miles or more based on an EPA rating of 230 Watt-hours per mile. Rated Range and Energy Capacity may vary +/- 3% and be impacted by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, an initial calibration period after installation, battery pack temperature, driving behavior, etc. Actual range will vary based on a number of factors, including driving behavior, battery pack temperature, tire pressure, etc.
* The base cost for a new replacement battery pack for a Model 3/Y from Tesla is $14,000 plus sales tax; the base cost for a remanufactured battery pack from Tesla is $9,500 plus sales tax, provided one is available - remanufactured battery packs are not always available from Tesla and will depend on the ability of your local Tesla Service Center to source a remanufactured battery; whereas Texas does not levy sales tax on out-of-state sales. ** Typical transportation costs to ship vehicle from a re/cell service center.
Why Do You Do This?
Our goal is simple: to get your car back on the road for thousands less. We've built our business around supporting out-of-warranty Tesla's and have logged thousands of hours working on Tesla battery packs - we know them inside out. Too often we see owners of out-of-warranty Tesla's facing huge bills if something happens to their battery pack – by now, most of us have seen the viral video of the guy in Finland blowing up his Tesla after they handed him a $20,000 estimate for a replacement battery pack... Ouch! We don’t want that for anybody. It’s not good for the planet and it’s not good for the electric vehicle industry. Instead, our goal is to get your car back on the road for thousands less!
Do You Offer Pack Upgrades?
We wish the answer were different, but the short answer is 'No'. While a pack upgrade sounds compelling, it isn't very cost effective, especially if your current battery pack is still working. Longer range packs with greater capacity need to be sourced individually, and that usually means from a salvage car that may have been in an accident or written off by an insurance company. And even from a salvage yard, long range packs are still very expensive - for what still amounts to a used battery pack...
When all is said and done, it's usually far more cost effective to continue using your existing battery pack until it reaches the end of its useful life and then replace it with either a remanufactured pack from re/cell or a new battery pack direct from Tesla.
How Do You Repair A Battery Pack? Do You Just Swap Out the Defective Battery Module, Close It Back Up And Call It Done?
Nope. Not ever. Unlike repair shops, we do not swap out or replace individual battery modules. In fact, we don't 'repair' battery packs, we offer rebuilt battery packs - the battery modules in all our remanufactured packs have been sitting side-by-side, undamaged and untouched, in the same battery case that they left the factory in. There's no module swapping, not ever. And each of our remanufactured battery packs goes through rigorous testing and quality control.
Do You Use Salvage Cars for Battery Packs Replacements?
No, we generally avoid salvage cars that may have been in an accident or written off by an insurance company. All our remanufactured battery packs come with clean title and the battery modules inside have been sitting side-by-side, undamaged and untouched, in the same battery case that they left the factory in. The only time we offer a salvage pack to a customer is if they need a specific battery configuration that is not yet available out of warranty.
Do I Get A Credit For My Existing Battery?
Yes! The credit for your existing battery pack is already included in the price of our remanufactured battery packs. And better yet, our remanufactured battery packs are the same price no matter how old or how many miles your existing battery pack has on it.
If You Replace My Battery, What Are You Replacing It With?
We only install fully tested and certified battery packs, and we use only genuine Tesla parts in all our remanufactured battery packs. And unlike a repair shop, we do not swap out or replace individual battery modules - the battery modules in all our remanufactured packs have been sitting side-by-side, undamaged and untouched, in the same battery case that they left the factory in. There's no module swapping, not ever.

How Long Does It Take to Have a Battery Replaced?
Servicing times can vary, but once your vehicle is at a re/cell service center, turnaround time generally ranges from a few hours to a day, depending on the exact issue and current workload at our service center. If it’s a straightforward battery replacement, you can be back on the road in no time, often the next day!
Can I Just Buy a Battery Pack From You and Have Another Shop Install It?
Practically speaking, it’s just easier (and safer!) to ship your Model 3/Y instead of just the battery – high voltage battery packs are heavy, cumbersome and can be easily damaged or become unsafe if not handled properly. More importantly, all service, including installation, performed on a re/cell battery pack MUST be performed at a re/cell service center.

Shipping is already included in the price of every battery pack we install. and there’s never any money required up front. If you arrange shipping through us, we’ll cover the initial cost of transportation, and if return shipping is needed, we simply include it as part of your final invoice. If you have any questions, just ask us!
If My Battery Fails, How Much Will It Cost Me?
If you've purchased our extended warranty, there’s no additional cost. Any parts and labor required to repair or replace your re/cell battery pack are included. Aside from any applicable sales tax on any parts, there’s no additional cost. You are only responsible for getting your vehicle to a re/cell service center for service, and if needed, we can make arrangements for shipping your Model 3/Y to/from a re/cell service center – we have dedicated shipping experts that we work with all the time to ensure the lowest price possible.
Where Can My Vehicle Be Serviced? Can't I Have Another Shop Replace the Battery Pack?
All warranty service performed MUST be performed at a re/cell service center. Unfortunately, there are NO exceptions. re/cell is not responsible for any costs associated with servicing at a third-party facility and ALL services on a re/cell battery pack MUST be performed at a re/cell service center.
Will the Entire Vehicle Be Needed for Warranty Service? Can’t I Just Ship You the Battery Pack?
Practically speaking, it’s just easier (and safer!) to ship your Model 3/Y instead of just the battery – high voltage battery packs are heavy, cumbersome and can be easily damaged or become unsafe if not handled properly. More importantly, we require the entire vehicle present at a re/cell service center in order to certify the battery. Unfortunately, there are NO exceptions. Removal of the battery pack at any other location other than a re/cell service center, including a Tesla Service Center, voids the battery pack warranty.
I Live in Canada, Can I Still Purchase a Certified Battery Pack from Re/cell?
Yes! We offer certified battery packs for both Canada and Mexico as well.
With a Remanufactured Battery Pack, Do I Need to Sign Any Waivers?
No. Not. Ever. We never require a waiver and anyone asking you to sign one should make you pause. Our approach is very clear, we focus on reliability, safety and serviceability, using 100% OEM software. No roots, no hacks, not ever.
What Information Do You Collect, and Do You Require a Remote Monitoring Device to Be Installed?
We only collect information about the battery pack when it’s at one of our service centers, and even then, we only collect the information that we need on file to support our Certification Program – like how many miles are on the battery pack, how many times it’s been charged and how much, the date it was put back into service, etc., etc. There are NO remote monitoring devices, NO communication whatsoever with your battery or your vehicle once it leaves one of our service centers. We have no way of collecting any additional information on the battery pack, you, or your car. That’s intentional. Your personal information is yours and yours alone, we have no interest in anyone’s personal information.
Do You Sell My Email or Personal Information to Other Companies?
Nope. Not. Ever.
