Our certified battery packs give Model S and Model X owners peace of mind for their out-of-warranty vehicles. Instead of having to pay for a complete battery pack replacement – which can cost up to $18,000, plus labor – Recell can swap out an aging or dead battery pack with a remanufactured battery pack for thousands of dollars less. And, if your existing battery pack is less than 12 years old and less than 150,000 miles, we offer a FREE extended warranty program for up to 4 years or 50,000 miles!
What We Do
Each of our remanufactured battery packs go through a rigorous inspection, certification and testing process. Failure-prone components such as the main fuse and contactors are replaced with Ludicrous-class components, and battery modules and control boards that don’t meet manufacturer spec are replaced as needed. Each pack is then isolation and load tested to ensure everything performs exactly to manufacturer spec, and then as a final step, each pack is pressure tested to make sure it’s absolutely watertight prior to installation. Everything is done exactly to manufacturer spec.
Why We Do It
We are passionate about sustainability. And instead of your battery pack being sold off for spare parts, or being scrapped and ending up in some landfill, our goal is to ensuring that your Tesla runs problem-free for up to 12 years and keep it on the road where it belongs! And we do that by refurbishing otherwise perfectly good batteries and providing certified battery packs to existing owners and independent service centers. In most cases, components can be easily upgraded or replaced, and because everything is plug and play, your Tesla can be back on the road - often the next day!
